SMM, January 14: Today, spot copper in North China was quoted at a discount of 200-80 yuan/mt against the front-month contract, with an average discount of 140 yuan/mt, down 10 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Transaction prices ranged from 75,140-75,350 yuan/mt, with an average price of 75,245 yuan/mt, down 100 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Copper prices above 75,000 yuan/mt continued to see weak downstream consumption, as some processing enterprises are expected to start their Chinese New Year holidays early and suspend production. As a result, stockpiling demand in the market remained weak, and suppliers continued to lower prices to sell, but actual trading activity was moderate. 》Subscribe to view historical SMM metal spot prices
